
Scenario: Your are Jason Wadle, a young graduate from a prestigious American university and a total social media and ecommerce geek. You were recently hired into a German company to lead the new Social Media activities. Schmitz Tooling, the company you joined, is a third generation German SME that has been a hidden champion in building machineries for tool manufacturing in the automotive industry.
You were hired, as traditional marketing and expositions on trade fairs have more and more lost their effectiveness in acquiring new customers and partners in the current corona crisis. In your studies you visited all big social media agencies in California and did a five month internship at Facebook, even awarded the prestigious ”Intern of the year” award. Your vision is to create a huge social media presence for Schmitz tooling with automatic lead generation, real time analytics and a large team for a world class in less then 6 month.
You are meeting Mr. Kaiser, the project manager from the IT department of Schmitz who has been with the company all his life. Mr. Kaiser is 45 years and a social media fan himself and surely the right person to implement this ambitious vision. Today's Zoom session is the first time you met Mr. Kaiser to introduce yourself and discuss the scope and objectives of the project....
